Santa Cruz is a good choice for those who prefer to cruise the Galápagos Islands on a larger ship offering more stability, space and a range of facilities.
The ship was exclusively built for exploring the Galapagos and is air-conditioned throughout. The first class facilities include a cosy restaurant, lounge, library and sun-deck with bar, Jacuzzi and loungers. The décor features the generous use of polished wood.
There are 52 crew and naturalist guides. The team of six guides includes a Chief Naturalist who, besides leading the shore excursions, also presents talks in the evenings, reviews the day’s sightings and previews the next day’s activities. There is one guide dedicated to snorkelling and the equipment is provided, alternatively there is a glass-bottom boat for those who prefer to remain dry.
The 46 cabins range from single to quadruple all meeting the same high standard for comfort and style. The variety of accommodations offers a good choice for families or lone travellers. On the Boat Deck there are two master suites with private balconies.
