Archipel I & II

A fleet of two modern, spacious motor catamarans for 16 passengers. Archipel offers a personal cruise experience with its high crew to passenger ratio, eight crew plus naturalist guide, spacious cabins. The 8 cabins are on the main deck each with en-suite bathroom with hot shower and hair-dryer. Cabins have lower berths (double and twin), air conditioning and windows with sea-views. There is a comfortable salon, bar, and dining area. The ample deck space is both covered and open, with an al fresco dining area and sunbathing section.

There is a lounge with library, TV, DVD, stereo equipment, ice maker, water purifier, safe deposit box, first aid kit, and comfortable dining room. One can enjoy delicious tropical drinks in the two bars (interior and exterior). It also has an observation platform and a large sundeck with loungers for relaxing and enjoying the Galapagos landscape.

Archipel I: A – Central and Western Islands

The 8-day central-western tour aboard the catamaran Archipel gives an extensive view of the Galapagos Islands. Includes the circumnavigation of Isabela Island, flightless cormorants, and iguanas of Fernandina, snorkelling with sea lions and the Charles Darwin Research Station in Santa Cruz.

Mon am: Arrival at San Cristobal Airport
          pm:  Interpretation Centre & Frigatebird Hill

Tue am: Santa Fe – Giant cactus and hawks
        pm: South Plaza – Land iguanas & seabirds

Wed am: North Seymour – seabirds and iguanas
          pm: Chinese Hat – penguins & marine iguanas

Thu am: El Chato tortoise reserve – Gemelos twin craters
         pm: Charles Darwin Research Station  (Fausto Llerena)

Fri am: Isabela – Moreno Point – lava and rare plants & finches
       pm: Elizabeth Bay -mangroves and turtles

Sat am: Isabela -Tagus Cove – historical anchorage & finches
       pm: Fernandina – Espinosa Point – marine iguanas and sealions

Sun am: Santiago – Puerto Egas – tidepools and fur seals
        pm: Rabida – flamingos & pelicans

Mon am: Bachas Beach (Santa Cruz)
Transfer to Baltra Airport

Archipel I: B – Northern and Eastern Islands

This 8-day itinerary combines the seabird colonies of North Seymour and the exclusive Genovesa, with the scenic volcanic islands Bartolome and Floreana. See tortoises at the Charles Darwin Research Station and in the wild. Plus, Española, the most southern point of the archipelago home to albatross and unique marine iguanas.  This week can be split into a 4-day itinerary Mon-Thu, or a 5-day route Thu – Mon.

       pm: Floreana – Baroness Lookout – Post Office Bay

Sat am: Española – Gardner Bay – sealions and mockingbirds
       pm: Española – Suarez Point – albatross, boobies, lizards, hawks

Sun am: San Cristobal – Pitt Point – sealions, boobies, frigate birds
         pm: San Cristobal – Witch Hill – iguanas and land birds

Mon am: San Cristobal – Lobos Islet – sealions
Transfer out to San Cristobal Airport

Prices for 11, 12, and 15 days available on request. Also please ask for singles and child rates.

Includes: Accommodation with private facilities, all meals, drinking water, tea and coffee, all excursions with bilingual naturalist guide, activities and use of snorkelling gear and kayaks. Transfers in Galapagos.

Excludes: All flights, park fees and transit card, beverages, wetsuit hire, tips, travel insurance and personal items.
